Combining a proprietary passivation material and void free vacuum die soldering, these SOFT GLASS diodes offer outstanding reliability under the harshest of operating conditions.

The SOFT GLASS passivation material provides the diode with superior protection against thermal/mechanical stresses caused by the differences in the thermal expansion coefficients of the various materials used to construct a diode, as well as the negative effects of aging and moisture.

The SOFT GLASS DIODETM is also constructed using DIOTEC's highly advanced vacuum soldering system. This die attach process enables silicon chips to be soldered to metal with exceptional consistency and void free quality (Typically less than 2% solder voids over the entire die surface).
